Our housekeepers, Sara Southey, Colette Cooper and Agnes Polakiewicz, keep the nurseries spotless, cook lunch and tea and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable purees for the babies every day. In fact, we’ve weaned over 300 babies in the last eighteen years and can cater for any allergy or intolerance. Any worries simply pop into the kitchen for a chat with one of our very own domestic goddesses!

Monday

Wednesday

Lunch – Fish Fingers or Vegetarian Sausages (Quorn) Wedges & Beans, Yoghurts

Tea – An Assortment of Filled Bagels, Crisps, Fresh Fruit

Thursday

Morning Snack – Dried or Fresh Fruit, Biscuits, Crisps, Crackers or Breadsticks, Crudites or Toast with Houmous

Lunch – Spanish Chicken or Spanish Veggies with Couscous, Fresh Fruit

Tea – Scones with Cream Cheese, Jam or Lemon Curd, Dried Fruit, Flapjack

Friday

Breakfast – Assorted Cereals & Toast with all kinds of Spreads

Morning Snack – Dried or Fresh Fruit, Biscuits, Crisps, Crackers or Breadsticks, Crudites or Toast with Houmous

Lunch – Chicken and Sweetcorn or Veggie Pasta, Crispy Cakes

Tea – Leek & Potato Soup with Bread Rolls, Fresh Fruit

Food

We believe mealtimes should be enjoyable too, we make sure our menus are delicious as well as nutritious and that there’s plenty of healthy snacks and drinks available for children throughout the day. Breakfast is between 8 and 8.50; we serve lunch around 11.30 and have tea about 3.00, although if a child is having a snooze, they’ll be offered lunch or tea when they wake up. The nursery runs to the rhythm of the children, not the other way round.

Organic Food

There’s a lot of truth in the saying, ‘you are what you eat’, and we want your children to be healthy and happy. That’s why we use organic food wherever possible as well as fresh, local produce.

We never lose our sense of fun however whether it’s the odd chocolate button on top of a freshly baked fairy cake or taking children on trips to show them where their food comes from.
